A BRIEF INTRO

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE

7 am: Get up; do freehand exercise

8 am:  Start taking phone calls, scrutinize e-mails from clients

9 am: Write letters/mails

10 am: Work at office

10:30 am onwards:  Meetings, hearings and discussions

1:30 pm: Hurried lunch

2 pm:  Work continues

5 pm:  Drafting, preparation of documents etc.

9 pm: Drafting work continues

10 pm: Bound for home

SALARY STRUCTURE

In campus recruitment, package starts from Rs. 40,000 a month  and the sky is the limit. However, if you get an opportunity to become a part of an LPO (Legal Process Outsourcing), your initial pay packet can be higher. Your income will increase with experience. HOW DO I GET THERE ?

After 12th, you take the Common Law Admission Test for entry to be one of the national law schools. Do a five-year BA LLB programme. Otherwise, after graduation, take admission to institutions such as Delhi University’s Faculty of law that undertakes a three-year LLB programme. You may then go for higher studies or work
